Sun's Out Guns Out
If you’re looking for a fun little upper body pump, you’re in the right place.
No, you’re not going to be carrying your dog for this workout, but you could certainly count that or carrying your kids around as an arm workout.
I’m not big into isolating one part of the body, because that can lead to imbalances in other parts of the body. But if you’re alternating upper and lower body, and incorporating the core into your workouts, you should be good to go.
For this workout, you’ll either need dumbbells or a resistance band like this (I use the red one).
Warm Up
3 sets of:
30 sec plank
30 jumping jacks
Once you’re feeling warm, you can get the real party started.
4 rounds of:
1 minute of max pushups
1 minute of max bicep curls (band or dumbbell)
1 minute of max tricep extensions (band or dumbbell)
1 minute of max burpees
2 minutes of rest
Max means just do as many as you can in the minute. While you can rest as needed throughout the workout, make sure you take the full two minutes in between rounds to rest completely.
You definitely don’t need to do this workout in order to show off your guns this summer, but it is a fun way to get the blood pumping!
Have fun and let me know how you like it!
